Description

Xinbo Composites specializes in manufacturing top-quality carbon fiber auto parts for high-end sports cars and provides components designed to improve aerodynamics and performance. Our products are tailored for brands like BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.

We produce all of the carbon fiber parts in our factory. All components can be special ordered in various patterns of 3k plain weave or 3k twill weave, 6k, or 12k carbon fiber, with matte or gloss finish. Forged Carbon Fiber is also available for production. Custom Carbon/Kevlar color combinations are also available.

Autoclave molding is used to manufacture carbon fiber auto parts. Applying controlled heat and pressure allows manufacturers to produce high-performance, lightweight auto parts such as automotive interior and exterior parts, intake and exhaust pipe systems, and energy machine parts. This improves fuel efficiency, reduces emissions and enables more aerodynamic designs.

Custom Carbon Fiber Auto Parts Process

Design: The first step is to create a design for the custom part. This can be done using design (CAD) software, where the designed shapes and dimensions.

Mold Creation: Molds are supposed to be created once the drawing is confirmed. The mold is designed based on the shape of the final drawing, and is typically made from materials like aluminum, steel, and fiberglass.

Prepreg Cutting: The prepregs are cut into the desired shapes and sizes, following the design specifications.

Lay-up: The cut prepreg sheets are then carefully laid up layer by layer into the mold. The orientation and number of carbon fiber layers can be adjusted to achieve the desired strength, stiffness, and weight characteristics.

Vacuum Bagging and Curing: A vacuum bag is applied to the mold & carbon fiber prepreg layers and sealed them. The vacuum bagging process removes air and ensures even pressure distribution during curing. The mold with the layup is then placed in an oven or autoclave, where heat and pressure are applied to cure the epoxy resin. This process solidifies the carbon fiber layers and forms the final part.

Trimming and Finishing: Carbon fiber parts are removed from the molds. Trimming and finishing processes are carried out to remove excess material, smooth edges, and achieve the desired final shape. This may involve cutting, sanding, and polishing the carbon fiber part.

Surface Treatment and Coating: Depending on the application and the customer’s requirements. Carbon fiber parts can undergo surface treatment, such as clear coating or painting.
