Roll roll-wrapped carbon fiber tube is made by roll roll-wapping process. Carbon fiber prepregs layers are wrapped around a mandrel and onto the wrapping machine, it will be automatically wrapped as a tube, then wrapped with a thin plastic film. After the part has cured, the mandrel is extracted and the plastic film is removed.
The sizes of roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes can vary greatly, from small diameter tubes to larger ones used in industrial applications. The length of the tube is typically limited by the size of the mandrel used in the manufacturing process.
